Time To Unwind!

Today is National Relaxation Day, but self-care and calm are not just for August 15th!  Taking time to relax and unwind are important to our physical, mental and emotional health, and should be a part of our daily routines.

How do we find time to relax in our busy lives?  Just 5 minutes of deep breathing or a short walk around the block can lower stress and provide calm.  Take a moment to make a list of things that bring you peace, and keep that list nearby for reference.

Here are a few ideas:

  • Read a good book
  • Take a scenic drive
  • Coffee with friends
  • Enjoy a favorite movie or TV show
  • Physical activity
  • Take a warm bath
