Jessica, our print designer, draws inspiration from the natural world.  As she travels, she captures photographs and memories that influence the prints she creates.  She brings colors and patterns from all over the world into her work, giving Ruby Rd. the unique prints used in our exclusive styles!

One of our talented Ruby Rd. designers, Lezley, finds inspiration in the simple pleasures every day has to offer. She loves to spend time with family and friends and finds time to enjoy cooking delicious meals.  Her sense of ‘joi de vive’ influences her designs, as she creates easy wearing, comfortable clothes, that show a sense of personal style. Her travel to Europe always inspires her to design essential pieces that are effortlessly chic – whether on vacation, enjoying your day with friends and family or slowing down for some “me time”.  This time of the year, you can find Lezley in her kitchen, making her grandma’s famous recipe of collard greens with smoked ham hocks – we can’t wait!

Lezley loves our Fall’s New Mood soundtrack.  Her favorites are ‘Walking After Midnight (which she loves to do with coffee in hand, this time of the year for her best creative time) and ‘Autumn in New York’ (although not a native New Yorker, she enjoys the change of season in the city)!

Shapes and patterns that occur in nature influence Nomeda, Ruby Rd.’s embellishment designer. Architecture is another key influence in which she finds beauty. Her love of exploring the richness found in different cultures and the arts inspires her beading creations. Growing up, her passion for ballroom dancing and ballet connected easily with the beauty in visual arts and the grace and energy used in movement and dance. Nomeda brings her own artisanal touches to Ruby Rd.’s clothing, using beads that reference natural textures, as well as more ornate materials that play with light and create movement. Nomeda’s designs always promise to dazzle us!
