Le Jardin – Garden Floral
This Spring season, our designers were influenced by the universal beauty of the French gardens and the dynamic Art Nouveau movement which bridged a period of transition, from romance into modernism at the end of the 19th century. This new style of art was embraced across Europe and America, influencing many aspects of culture, including; the fine arts, architecture, graphic art, interior design, jewelry, furniture, textiles, ceramics, glass art, and metal work. Je T’aime- Pansy Paisley
Pastels, a timeless color palette, stemming from a versatile medium used by many great artists since the Renaissance, captured the imagination of our design team this season. We created this print in our NYC studio, combining spring ready blossoms, surrounded by paisley borders, for our customer favorite dress! Paisley motifs have ancient origins in India and Persia. The Europeans adopted these twining shapes into textiles used for fine apparel and gifts. The English name Paisley, stems from the name of the town in West Scotland, that manufactured these textiles.
