Summer is an inspiring time to live and work in New York City! The restaurants, the museums, and the nightlife – we love it all! Our staff at Ruby Rd. shared photos from some of their favorite NYC moments, and we want to share them with you. Here are a few staff picks on what to do and see in NYC!

The Met is one of NYC’s iconic museums, and for good reason! Their unique and distinctive collections are treasures that bring the whole world to our city and through their doors. The Costume Institute’s spring 2016 exhibition explores the evolution of design, handmade and machine, from the early 20th century to the present. Our staff had the opportunity to be inspired by the haute couture designs in the museum; here are a few of our favorites:

Café Lalo

Modeled after European cafés, Café Lalo is a popular spot in the city for brunch, coffee and dessert. We can’t resist their amazing selection of coffees and pastries, or their delicious brunch menu! After a long walk through the Met, it’s a perfect spot to stop and enjoy the city view through their floor to ceiling windows!

West Harlem Piers

West Harlem Piers, a break between the neighborhoods of Morningside Heights and Washington Heights, provides scenic views of the Hudson River and NYC sunsets. Once a landing point for immigrants to the United States, the park now provides lots of summer entertainment, including concerts and dancing on the pier.
The Skylark

Thirty stories up above the iconic Times Square, the Skylark is a classic cocktail lounge where we love to gather as a team and celebrate any occasion! The surrounding windows provide a bird’s eye view of the Hudson River, Hudson Yards, Times Square, The Empire State Building, and Midtown Manhattan. In the warm months, Skylark provides an outdoor space to enjoy the evening with fabulous friends. Here are a few more photos of the Skylark views and our talented staff:

Completed in 2014, the One World Trade Center is NYC’s newest iconic skyscraper. It stands at 1,776 feet, and is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Visiting the observation deck at the top of the tower provides the best views of New York City and New Jersey; here are a few photos from the top that will take your breath away with their beauty:
